Sarah Thornhill | Kate Grenville | Book of the Month | September 2020

Sarah Thornhill is a follow up to one of our book clubs favourite books- The Secret River by Kate Grenville.

Sarah Thornhill is the daughter of William Thornhill whose arrival and life in Australia is the basis for The Secret River.

Sarah Thornhill gives us an insight into the later generations of these families who settled in Australia and the many facets of life in those days.

We are taken on a journey with Sarah through her teenage years into adult hood as she falls in love for the first time, loses love, discovers family secrets, shares in the joy of motherhood and more.

Sarah Thornhill is a great follow up to The Secret River and rounds the story off nicely.

Discussion Questions can be found on Kate Grenville's website- https://kategrenville.com.au/books/sarah-thornhill/
