Rating is 0.0 out of five stars based on reviews

Welcome to your own personal sanctuary with our Sanctuary Candle, a delightful blend of lemon myrtle and eucalyptus that'll transport you to the heart of the Australian bushland with just one flick of the match. As an Aboriginal creator, i've looked to Country to provide inspiration for this candle creation and the healing power of nature to create a scent that's as refreshing as it is rejuvenating.

Let's start with a fun fact about lemon myrtle and eucalyptus, both native to Australia. Did you know that lemon myrtle is often referred to as the "Queen of the Lemon Herbs" due to its intense citrus aroma and powerful antibacterial properties? And as for eucalyptus, it's not just a koala's favorite snack—it's also known for its ability to clear the airways and promote a sense of clarity and vitality.

Now, let's talk about how these two powerhouse ingredients work together to create a truly unique scent experience. At the top of this fragrant journey, you'll be greeted by the uplifting aroma of eucalyptus lemon, like a breath of fresh air after a spring rain. This top note sets the stage for the main event—the burst of lemon verbena that follows, infusing the air with its zesty vibrancy and invigorating energy.

Sanctuary wraps you in the calming embrace of lavender, the revitalizing scent of tea tree and jasmine, and the grounding essence of sandalwood and patchouli. Like the steadfast roots of a tree firmly anchored in the earth, these base notes form a solid foundation, echoing the resilience and strength found in Aboriginal cultures. Let this harmonious blend guide you on a journey of self-discovery and inner peace.

Light up our Sanctuary Candle and let its fragrance fill your home with warmth, comfort, and inspiration. It's more than just a candle—it's a journey of discovery, connection, and pure joy.

A great candle experience begins with proper candle care and maintenance. Here are some important burning tips for enjoying your Little Black Duck candle:

1. Preventing memory rings.

Believe it or not, candles have a memory and the very first time you burn your new candle is the most important. Ensure you burn your candle long enough to completely melt the entire top surface of your candle. If the wax is not allowed to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge of the container, it will create a “memory ring,”. Once a candle has this “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel and to burn that way for the life of the candle. And no one wants that!

2. Trim your wick.

Before lighting, always trim the wick to 6mm and remove any wick debris as this encourages an even burn.

3. Be safe.

Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface, keep it out of drafts and NEVER leave it unattended while lit. Always burn candles well away from other heat sources, and anything flammable. Make sure burning candles are out of reach of children and pets.

4. Goodbye is the hardest word.

KNOW WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE. When only 1/2" of wax remains, it's time to let your candle go. Discontinue use of a candle when ½” of wax remains at the bottom of the jar. This will prevent possible heat damage to the counter/surface or container itself. The glass can get hot on the bottom as the flame nears the base of the jar and most of the wax has been consumed. By following this instruction, the glass will not get too hot.

5. Know your limit.

Candles should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. It is recommended that after burning for four hours, candles be extinguished, allowed to cool for two hours, and trimmed before relighting.
