Golden Wattle Candle
Our Golden Wattle Candle is a fragrant nod to Australia’s national floral emblem and the beauty of the bush. As an Aboriginal creator, I see it as more than a scent- it’s a celebration of culture, heritage, and the vibrant spirit of this land.
Inspired by the Golden Wattle’s sweet blooms that herald spring, this candle blends fresh fir needle and eucalyptus with the warm, floral heart of jasmine and petitgrain. A grounding base of red rose and amber wraps it all in comfort, like a campfire under the stars.
Light it, breathe it in, and let the aroma carry you to the heart of the Australian bush- a place of beauty, connection, and stories worth sharing.

A great candle experience begins with proper candle care and maintenance. Here are some important burning tips for enjoying your Little Black Duck candle:
1. Preventing memory rings.
Believe it or not, candles have a memory and the very first time you burn your new candle is the most important. Ensure you burn your candle long enough to completely melt the entire top surface of your candle. If the wax is not allowed to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge of the container, it will create a “memory ring,”. Once a candle has this “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel and to burn that way for the life of the candle. And no one wants that!
2. Trim your wick.
Before lighting, always trim the wick to 6mm and remove any wick debris as this encourages an even burn.
3. Be safe.
Always burn your candle on a heat resistant surface, keep it out of drafts and NEVER leave it unattended while lit. Always burn candles well away from other heat sources, and anything flammable. Make sure burning candles are out of reach of children and pets.
4. Goodbye is the hardest word.
KNOW WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE. When only 1/2" of wax remains, it's time to let your candle go. Discontinue use of a candle when ½” of wax remains at the bottom of the jar. This will prevent possible heat damage to the counter/surface or container itself. The glass can get hot on the bottom as the flame nears the base of the jar and most of the wax has been consumed. By following this instruction, the glass will not get too hot.
5. Know your limit.
Candles should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. It is recommended that after burning for four hours, candles be extinguished, allowed to cool for two hours, and trimmed before relighting.
As most candles are poured to order, allow a production time of minimum 1 week. This excludes delivery. Sometimes my shelves are fully stocked and i can grab and pack your candle a little more quickly, but to be safe, allow the 1 week minimum.
