Welcome to the Little Black Duck blog – part business diary, part book club, part beautiful chaos.

So, are blogs dead? Maybe. But I’m still here writing one – because I’ve got stories to tell, books to rave about, and a whole lot of thoughts on this wild ride of being a Blak creative, solo mum, business owner, reader, and all-around professional juggler of life.

This space is where my worlds collide:
One minute, I’m sharing lessons from running my 100% Aboriginal-owned biz since 2015. The next, I’m deep in a yarn about a book that cracked me wide open. You'll find tips, truths, cultural reflections, product sneak peeks, reviews, rants and realness – all told through a Blak matriarchal lens, because that’s who I am and how I move through the world.

Whether you're here for the behind-the-scenes of Little Black Duck or the book club picks that keep us thinking, feeling, and connecting – you’re welcome here. Pull up a chair, make a cuppa, and let’s talk shop, stories, and sovereignty.

Mandaang Guwu,
Ash

I pay my respects to the traditional custodians of the land where Little Black Duck is based, the Wiradjuri nation. Their resilience and tenacity is an inspiration for all upcoming generations in leading the way.

Always Was. Always Will Be.
