Waygiwinya Circle Raffia & Emu Feather Earrings | LBD x Debbie Wood
Waygiwinya Circle – Raffia & Emu Feather Earrings
LBD x Debbie Wood
A creative collaboration between Wiradjuri artist, Ashleigh Pengelly (Little Black Duck) and Gomeroi artist and weaver Debbie Wood, the Waygiwinya Circle Raffia Earrings bring together traditional weaving techniques using Madagascan raffia and contemporary Aboriginal design rooted in story and strength.
This piece was born from a shared creative rhythm—where Debbie’s weaving meets my artwork, and together we’ve shaped something that moves with both purpose and beauty. It’s a meeting of styles, of Country, and of two Blak women creating with care, culture and connection.
These statement earrings feature handwoven raffia, centrepieces showcasing my original artwork in acrylic, and soft, flowing emu feathers that carry movement and story with every step. Topped with your choice of stud or topper, each pair is as unique as the women who wear them.
These wearable art creations are a nod to the power, softness, and strength carried by Blak women across generations.
Whether you wear them for ceremony, connection, or everyday boldness, these earrings are made to honour culture, creativity, and Country.
